Five reasons to move to the Sunshine State

Nothing shines quite like the Sunshine State! If you’re looking for a home with access to gorgeous outdoor scenery, plenty of excursions, exotic wildlife and more – you might just find the place of your dreams in Florida. As if you needed any other reason to want to move here, I’ve listed five of my favorite things about being a Florida resident. Do you need any more convincing? Here’s what life looks like for you when you become a Floridian.

Life’s a beach.

Imagine making a weekly or even daily trip to the beach. No matter where you are in the entire state, you’re never more than about 45 minutes away from one! Our state has more than 650 miles of gorgeous, unique beaches, each with its own special charm. With the Atlantic Ocean on one side and the Gulf of Mexico on the other, Florida is paradise for beach lovers.

Say “no” to state income tax.

It’s no secret that Florida is a top destination for millions of national and international travelers. Since the state earns money from tourism each year, residents get the benefit of not having to pay any state income taxes! Thank you, tourism.

Step outside!

We aren’t called the Sunshine State for no reason. Florida receives around 250 days of sunshine each year. If you’re an outdoor enthusiast, it’s the state for you. If you’re into watersports, kayaking, paddle boarding or fishing, you’re in luck. If you’re more of an inland person, we’ve got a plethora of golf and tennis courts around the state to accommodate players at any level.

Amusement parks and attractions, oh my!

Families and thrill-seekers thinking of relocating to Florida will definitely love the number of amusement parks and attractions in the state. From museums to parks to aquariums and more, there is so much to see and do. If you like adventure, there are several hidden caves, springs and underwater destinations that are easily accessible for residents to explore.

Find your dream home.

While the housing prices in Florida have been steadily increasing in recent years, there are single-family homes, condos and apartments to fit your lifestyle. You can find the home of your dreams in one of the gorgeous communities spreading across the state.
