Easy ways to enhance your home’s street value
First impressions are everything! When people are driving around or strolling through your neighborhood, you want your home to catch their eye. Curb appeal is the key to making your home inviting and enhancing the overall street value. Accomplishing this is a lot simpler than people think. It only takes a few tweaks and upgrades here and there to really make a difference. Below, I share a few simple tips that have the potential to elevate your home from the same ol’ house next door to the main attraction on the block!
Paint the front door.
Something as simple as painting your front door can make a real statement. Pick a bold color that makes your home stand out in a good way. Make sure this color flows with the rest of the home though. This can add some brightness and life that your home may have been lacking.
Upgrade your doorknob.
Installing a doorknob with a little more personality and style can go a long way. It’s a subtle change, but it is one that won’t go unnoticed. Just be sure that the doorknob matches the overall aesthetic of your home.
Replace your mailbox.
Whether it’s at the front door or the end of the driveway, an eye-popping mailbox can make a difference. It’s quick. It’s easy. And, it can also be very inexpensive. Get rid of your outdated mailbox, and install a new and improved version. At the very least, maybe consider a new coat of paint to freshen it up.
Add outdoor furniture.
If you have the proper space to accommodate it, make the addition of outdoor furniture. It can range from a couple of chairs, a porch swing or even a small couch. These additions can add charm and seating space that you and your guests will surely appreciate.
Light it up.
Exterior and landscape lighting will illuminate your home, making it shine long after the sun sets. Lights offer a welcoming vibe, as well as a safe passage into your home for visitors.
