With the weight of the last year nearly lifted off our shoulders, this summertime in Sarasota is going to be packed with extra fun and excitement for the whole family to enjoy. The sun is out, the weather is nice, and there are tons of fun activities to do around our city! Take in the sights, sounds and smells of the ocean as you relax with a book on the beach. If you like more adventurous activities, you can spice up your time at the beach by renting a kayak or paddleboard or by joining some friends for a boating adventure!

Did you know our city is home to The Ringling Museum, home to one of the preeminent art and cultural collections in the United States? Take your family on an adventure full of education and art. Children of all ages can experience a bit of the rainforest at Marie Selby Botanical Gardens or hang out with exotic wildlife at Big Cat Habitat.

If you’re looking to discover unique ways to immerse yourself in the community, take some time to check out our weekly events and happenings. Play games, peruse products and pick up some fresh produce at the Sarasota Farmers Market. Do you live near downtown? Grab your buddies and a few masks and head to Centennial Park for a free Friday night concert. If you’re around town on the Fourth of July and need help celebrating, you can catch one of several fireworks shows around town!
